Parking for coop arena Manchester

Has anyone parked in the coop arena car park for a concert? Did you have to queue for ages to get out?

We will have a nearly 3 hour drive home so if it takes an hour plus to get out of the car park, I'll look at a hotel instead.

How much time did you allow to park before the concert? Was that busy?

I think it's £25 to park on their car park which is ridiculous.

I'd either pay to park at Asda (through JustPark) which is literally across the road but the downside is you could still struggle getting out, or park at Ashton West and get the tram to the Etihad. Takes about half an hour on the tram but you're right next to the M60 and getting away is a doddle.

I should add, I'm a Season Ticket holder at Man City and use that car park every match for home games and most times it is horrific getting out. I haven't been to the arena yet but knowing what it's like on match days, I don't think I'd use it. It could well be though that they're more organised at getting people out for events 😶

I've booked my asda spot till 1am just in case...

And might do a last minute Google of some hotels half an hour down the road on the way home just in case!!

We got free parking with a blue badge…..we were at take that…..we left just before the end of the very last song and fast walked to the car…..we were out of the car park in under 2 minutes
