Anything!

I'm feeling rather chuffed as over the past 3 days or so, I've decluttered what feels like half a house worth of crap.
Kinda like a DIY version of Stacey & Co in Sort Your Life Out 😂
This has included the whole of the top floor.
The Cupboard of Doom (which has now reverted back to it's original title of 'The Linen/Loo Roll Cupboard.)
The roof bit of the garage and the garage itself.
I am exhausted but SO pleased 😆

What have you done lately which, to you, feels like you've conquered Mount Everest?

Lost a stone before my holiday. Every year I say I’m going to but this time I actually did it!

TheGriffle · 27/07/2024 18:01

Survived what has felt a very long and extended first week of the summer holidays! The days seemed to have really dragged this week and I’ve had work, Dh has been super busy at his work, we’ve been alternating looking after 2 fairly independent dc’s and we’ve been sorting bits around the house. It’s been exhausting! Roll on next week when holiday club starts and they’re there for 2 days a week.

Declutterred the cutlery / utensil and drawer of doom and cleared out under the stairs plus sorted all the home filing! Still LOADS to do but feels good to start

I'd love to also lose a stone @IncognitoUsername any tips?! Well done!

Slim fast. Not great in the long term but it’s a good start and I’ll try a proper diet plan after holiday.

Deciding to hire a van for our camping holiday - much less stressful than packing the car

Crunchymum · 27/07/2024 18:24

Coped, singlehandedly, with a norovirus outbreak which took most of the family down.

I'm an emetophobe and all the therapy I had a while back paid off.

RabbitsRock · 27/07/2024 18:33

Crunchymum hope you’re all feeling better now.
Another declutterer here! Loads still to do but I’ve made a very good start. Sorted out a big pile of clothes to put on FB Marketplace & Vinted plus filled a few bags for the charity shop. I’ve photographed the things for Marketplace & have put them on. Shifted a load of stuff & now DH can get into his wardrobe at last!

Got back from holiday and completely unpacked and all washing is on the line!

Sung in public before a huge crowd.

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/07/2024 18:42

Thanks for this and well done!

Dealt with absolute shit at work this week. Everyone else in the team took time off. Not me.

otravezempezamos · 27/07/2024 18:44

I am really struggling with grieving my beloved gran but I stood up in church and sang evensong with my choir.

Minikievs · 27/07/2024 18:45

I have weeded 60% of my JUNGLE of a garden and finished mowing the lawn about 30 seconds before the rain started.

No17CherryTreeLane · 27/07/2024 19:29

Wow you lot are on fire!
Well done all but a special shout out goes to @otravezempezamos , sorry about your gran. I bet she'd be so proud of you ❤️

Giving myself another pat as The Big Declutter continues.
Another trip to the charity shop for the husband. Lots of things listed on Freecycle and a big bag to toys to go to the neighbour’s little ones.
(But do any of the fellow declutterers find there are some things from your DCs childhood you just cannot bring yourself to part with?)

I finally convinced my asd agrophobic 19 year old ds to come outside into the garden ( hes not stepped outside in almost 6 years) he managed almost 10 mins and helped me move the younger ones huge slide to the shady side of the garden, so incredibly happy I finally convinced him the garden is OK and completely private and safe!!

Hakunatomato · 28/07/2024 13:17

Started my diet at 19 stone 5 lb. Been eating healthily for the last 10 weeks. This morning I broke through a stone barrier (I have been checking all week) This morning I was 17 st 13.8 ! It feels monumental to have broken through another barrier.
