Micronised progesterone alone - without oestrogen

Has anyone taken this, for sleep, alone?

My hormones are "normal" but the practice nurse prescribed this to me (progesterone on low side). I have the mirena, but it's quite old now so hormones probably run out (and anyway, it's local release). Is there any problem with trying it??

TIA

To clarify - blood hormones did not suggest perimenopause, but my symptoms do

I find the mirena coil makes me sleep like the dead. Couldn't take the utrogestan as one of the side effects was feeling like a zombie all day the next day.

Could you get your coil updated?
