After IBS attack

I have put this in chat to reach a wider "audience"

I wondered if those of you whom have IBS have anything you do after an attack that helps you soothe your stomach?

For me I notice I need something sweet. Today it was 2 strawberries to get the sensation of acid in my stomach to settle. I often have a sprite too (full fat) to settle this.

My friend says she needs salty stuff so has pretzels or similar like me only a few not a lot.
Made me wonder if others have found stuff that helps them?

There's nothing I have in particular but I do avoid drinking water, as it sets it off again.

Soft, sliced, white bread. The cheaper and more processed the better. With butter. Nothing else.

@BrigadierEtienneGerard as wheat is one of my triggers I find it so interesting how different this is for us all. For me that would restart the attack but for you it soothes it. Odd how we find put what helps too isn't it
