Did anyone used to read Sarah Whiteley's column in the Metro? I didn't always agree with her opinions but she wrote beautifully about life with two young kids. Very sadly she passed away unexpectedly a few months ago, and I think about her often. This article in particular stuck with me: https://metro.co.uk/2024/01/06/didnt-kids-excited-going-back-school-20068649/ . She passed away two months afterwards.
I have my kids (same ages) with me over the summer holidays and every time I feel fed up I think about Sarah and that she won't get to spend another summer with her children.
Not really a point to this post apart from to say that you never know what's around the corner. Rest in peace, Sarah. I hope your kids know how much they were loved.
