Hi

Can someone recommend a nice but not too expensive bottle of champagne please, I don't like the stuff cheap or expensive. I have a friends special birthday coming up and I've already bought her a present but would like a nice bottle of something to go with it and she does like champagne.

Veuve is usually a good middle of the road champagne. As is Moët.

What's your budget? I agree with pp on Veive or Moet. Not Mumm. I think slightly more pricey Taittinger.

About £20 to £25. Thanks

Try chapel down sparkling wine it’s an English one and I quite like it. It fits your price.

champagne has to come from that region and you won’t get a true champagne for your price point.

Pommery is on offer at Asda and on the buy six get 25% off over, so if you're looking to buy some wine anyway that would get you down to the £25 mark. Otherwise Chapel Down is an English "champagne" that is well reviewed and £22 at Sainsbury's.

I had some amazing champagne from Aldi recently. It was on special offer at around a tenner and tasted really good. The bottle was very cool looking, too.

Tesco best is nice I got a bottle for my birthday I'm honestly not keen on the fancier champagnes but this was nice and not to "chewy" .

Its Finest not Best..

Graham Beck sparkling wine is delicious and is approx £17 a bottle. It’s made using the champagne method & I’d recommend it.
