... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

Today we're starting with a sport which I don't think anyone has mentioned - table tennis! Chang is playing Steffan.

The next event is one which someone mentioned a few days ago (but not yesterday). It's shooting. First, rifle shooting. Here is Ennio.

In the men's event it's Hajime v Yukio.

It's an exciting match!

In the women's event first it's Nadezhda v Estelle.

It's a closely fought match.

The next match is Sylvie v Diane.

It's quite a tense match...
