Feeling desperate - 5 years post birth & no sensation

I didn't really know where to post this. I had my ds 5 years ago and ever since I have had no sexual sensation at all. I can sometimes get a bit of feeling with a toy but never an orgasm.

I know it's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things but it's completely destroyed my sex life. I still want it and that makes it worse. I want to and then get nothing from it.

I've searched everywhere and can only find things about the post birth recovery. I've been to the gp and to gynaecology and they basically just shrugged and said nothing physically wrong.
But there must be surely this isn't normal?
I had a difficult delivery with ventouse and episiotomy. Could that have caused this?

Has anyone else been in this situation? Did you ever get any sensation back? I'm only in my early 30s it's upsetting to think this is it for me.

Sorry OP this must be so frustrating! Did the GP ever suggest checking your hormone levels? I know hormone changes can sometimes cause this.

I had my baby 3 months ago and also had a difficult delivery (episiotomy, forceps and a tear at the top very close to this area). I did have less sensation there for maybe 6 weeks after birth but just continued trying and then once I was healed and our sex life picked back up it seems to have completely sorted itself out and gone back to normal/maybe a bit more sensitive than before if anything. I assume you’ve already tried different methods etc to see if anything works though given it’s been 5 years? X

@Mrsttcno1 I have problems with my thyroid so I'm under endocrinology but apparently unrelated. It is literally like the sensation of having a dead arm. It's miserable :(
