Can I please ask how much do you pay for private health insurance for the whole family?

Hi everyone,

We are planning on moving back to the UK from Germany hopefully some time in the next year.
I'm looking into private health insurance and would just like to ask if anyone is happy sharing what they pay and who with?

Mainly, I'm worried about my boys and their ears. My eldest has had 6 ear infections this winter and has his surgery soon for adenoids out, potentially grommets in - we only had to wait 3 months from initial appt with the ENT to surgery here. My second son (18 months) now has his first ear infection too and it's got me wondering if things were to get worse for him, it's a 2-3 year wait list on the NHS in the area we'd move to in the UK for the surgery. I will look into proper quotes too but would appreciate it anyone if happy to share

Thanks

Unfortunately with any existing medical condition you will struggle to get private insurance and this would be excluded, so would have to be self funded if you want to go private. There are so many policies out there, from basic policies to full policies covering everything. I pay around £4,000 per year for my DH, myself and 2 adult sons with AXA PPP, DH and I are in our sixties and it gets more expensive every year as we get older.
