What baby carry do I want?

So looking for something for the house to carry them room to room. So not a structured carrier and not something I have to wrap around 20times. And more than happy if it’ll only last until they are 3months etc and I need something different. I remember seeing something that was basically a stretchy X that you out on like a top or two bands for a newborn.

I think I’m thinking of the baby Buddha carrier but they’re not currently making them. Two loops of fabric easy to put on

I had a baba sling. It is one shoulder and baby can lie down to begin with, then sit up. If you look up ring sling you will find a million others like it too.

Look for a local sling library! You can rent them and try them out and see what you like.

Hey, I love me a carrier and I tried loads!

I think the two loop thing you're referring to might be a baby k'tan. I had one of those, it was ok - it's sized which meant it didn't last as long as I wanted it to when baby grew and it wasn't actually easier than a stretchy wrap once I got used to tying it up. It's also not really stretchy and my babies wriggled a bit as though uncomfortable in it. Maybe I was just more rotund than I cared to admit at the time 😂

I would highly recommend stretchy wraps which my babes and I loved. A couple of reasons - more comfy for both of us, variety of ways to tie and grows with baby.
Structured carrier wise we had a Tula explore which was simply the best thing ever for 6 months+

I tried a stretchy wrap and loved it until 4 months old. They're really handy as you can put them on in the morning and just leave on all day and put baby in and out of it. So while you do need to wrap around a few times it's really not inconvenient. As he grew he was heavy so needed something more structured. I'm really tall so some carriers barely could get the straps around me and DH. We got Lille baby as fits a bigger parent and it was awesome. Ergobaby and baby born just didn't fit me or DH at all. But they fit my friend really well. That's why I recommend the sling library as it's individual what works well for you.
