Would Google be stopping the play store?

There's loads of headlines coming up on my phone but I don't want to click on them or read them. The headlines are vague. Like this.

Does this mean the play store will stop working.

I've just googled and can't see any headlines. All I found was is wasn't working very well in January but mine has been fine.

Nope, and Zak Doffman hasn't said this either. They're trying to get rid of scammy and outdated apps in the store, that's all.
