Question about X / Twitter

YouAreBoringMe · 24/07/2024 08:34

I've never really 'got' twitter but started using it recently.

I've noticed on one persons profile, that I follow, that the latest post is from a few months back, and the ones before that are from the start of the year. These aren't pinned.

This is definitely the right and current profile. People have reposted posts this person has made in the last few days. But I can't see them.

Does anyone know why this is and how I'd fix it please?

There's a line at the top of people's posts the first bit is posts the second is replies. This is replies that the person has made to other people's posts. If there are reposts that are not in the posts, they are probably replies, i.e. not original posts.
Does that make sense and check out? Took me a while to get the hang of x.

I know people are quoting or reposting, but what they are sharing is recent and when I go to that users page, the one they are reposting, I can't see those new posts, I can only see posts from months ago.

Have you checked the replies tab?

Perhaps you have to be "friends/follower" to be able to see the newer posts. I'm not on X but when ppl post links I sometimes get the message that posts are restricted to those the account holder has tagged so I can't see them. You are following them, but maybe only people THEY follow can see their posts iyswim.

This is what I was trying to say but you, OP that is, seem to have misunderstood.

YouAreBoringMe · 24/07/2024 12:15

No, its not replies, I want to see this persons posts.

They can limit who sees their tweets and you may be able to set it each time? Like a fb post. But it does sound off
