When did prejudice become less socially acceptable in the UK?

Okay, I know prejudice and bigotry are still rife in the UK; but we now have various Acts which mean that these thoughts are less socially acceptable. However, when - in your opinion - did prejudices become less socially acceptable?
I will also add that I am GC and suspect that, in years-to-come, my opinions will be considered unacceptable.
I am not doing research, just curious about others' thoughts.
In my lifetime, I think (in society, not my personal view):

  • racism became unacceptable in the 90s
  • homophobia in the 00s
  • misogyny, sadly never (but possibly Barbara Castle made some inroads back in the day, and - barely in the same breath - that PM we had 1979 - 1991)
Any thoughts welcome
