What did the popular kids all have at your school?

I was in secondary school late 90s early 00s All the popular kids at my school carried their books around in Jane Norman carrier bags in Alevels they started to get cars.
I remember being so jealous of this Playboy choker necklace one of the girls had.

Cannot remember much else. I just wanted a 'tonic' suit!!!

Late 80s at sixth form college. Popular girls had long, spiral perms. Second hand Levi 501s (ripped at the knee). Battered bikers jackets. Ditsy print tea dresses worn with heavy lace up brogues and no socks. Bright red lipstick and dark grey eyeshadow from Next. Big, mens' watches with a leather strap. Benetton duffle bags. Perfume was Eternity by Calvin Klein.

Boys wore second hand, ripped Levi 501s too. With brogues or DMs. Plain polo shirts from Lacoste. Or a baggy, white shirt under an open, black waistcoat. Heavily gelled fringes and Lynx deodorant.

I was desperate for a Donkey jacket coat but my parents said I’d ‘look like a dustman’ 🙄
I got one in the end that must’ve not been quite as obviously bin man couture!

School shoes from dolcis, lipstick and lipliner in different shades and the body shops dewberry, late 80's early 90's, oh and sunbed tans (looking back I'm glad I remained pale).

Mid-80s:

Permed hair that had so much hairspray on it that it was like plastic
Orange fake tan
White stilettos
Adidas bag with 'Morten Harket' (or other 80s heartthrobs) Tipp-exed all over it
Older boyfriends who they'd boast about shagging, in front of the young and handsome male P.E. teacher (the boasting taking place in front of him, not the shagging!).
Packets of 10 Marlboro Red to smoke in the outer reaches of the playing field
