Can anyone help me?
I had been running a small consultancy type business self employed around my full time job for about 3 years. About 8 months ago I gained enough clients to quit my job. 3 months ago DH quit his job to help me. We now have 3 new large customers who have signed to come on board next month. Not to be vain but I am very competent at what I do- just not at running a business.
I'm in complete panic. I'm already working 6am-midnight 6 days a week, and normally a few hours on Sunday also, I'm burnt out. I don't know what I'm doing with running a business. I've never even managed anyone before but I'm going to have to hire someone, but we work from home so they'd have to be remote, and the thought of it is stressing me out. I have some mental health issues, which have been helped by quitting my job but I can feel myself slipping.
I don't know how I'd have time to hire someone, or to train them, but I do know I'm going to have a breakdown if I don't do something. Of course the other option is to reduce the income and the amount of customers but we have a huge mortgage due to remortgage shortly, which is currently on 2%.
I'm just wondering if there is anyone on here who has gone through this start up stage and can give me some advice on how to stop the whole thing crashing and burning?
