Would the protests put you off going to Spain this summer?

I've been to Spain & Spanish islands for various holidays over the years and was thinking of booking a late deal this year. But now I'm in two minds because of the protests being reported. I completely understand why they're happening, but as, I believe, a 'good' tourist, ie I stay in hotels, don't get drunk and antisocial, etc, I really don't want to feel unwelcome when I get there. Any experiences please?

I suspect it makes little difference but I’m looking at next year’s holiday and I’m put off.

That's one of the reasons I chose Cyprus this year for our holiday. I love Lanzarote but was worried about the protests and didn't want to go somewhere that felt threatening. I am also a responsible traveler, don't drink or cause trouble and respect people's boundaries and property etc. Just wanted a relaxing holiday where we could walk around and feel comfortable. It was very hot but enjoyable
