Omg it's only a small thing in reality but it's pissing me of I swear my last brain cell is shrinking . I only had 3 to start with 😭.

I have dyslexia/leaning difficulties. I think this issue may be the dyslexia side
of it . Anyway if I read something on Facebook. Think oh that's interesting I will look it up. But I can't spell it and it won't let me copy and paste. By the time I have opened a new tab .I have to go back. Look at the first word . Try and remember first couple of letters then I go back to the new tab forget what order them letters were. Then I finally get it. on to the next word and so on. Then there may be dots and @ or what ever . I then forget where they are . 4 words and a couple of dots this morning I went back and 4th at least 6 times ffs

Can you take a screenshot and copy the text off that? My android phone lets me copy text from photos.

This is the reason I have a notebook and pen next to my chair. I blame the menopause.

Ha, OP I'm dyslexic and exactly the same!

Takes me ages flicking between screens or pages etc, I have to remember like 3 digits or letters at a time!

I absolutely cannot follow recipes for this reason, I'll read,get the ingredient and have forgotten the amount and have to keep going back over and over!

It's working memory for me, I can't hold it in my memory and do something with it.

When I was tested for dyslexia (long long time ago) I did everything fine and then I had to hold long numbers and letter sequences and repeat them backwards, and it all fell apart!

It's so frustrating!

Oh gosh yes I'm the same with recipe. Sometimes my teen will bomb into the kitchen doing ott teenage shit .. what's for dinner? What you you making ? What's this for? And it will completely fall apart because he has done this. There's times I have left the kitchen. Ended up with chicken nuggets. Because I can't get my mind back to where it was .

Atleast chicken nuggets are nice and edible, some of the things I've cooked from not being able to follow a recipe have been horrendous!

Ah that's frustrating. I can do it. If im left alone. But what should take 5 mins could take me 30. Chicken nuggets taste like cardboard 😅

Even if it doesn't allow you to copy text you still have a screenshot of what you're trying to Google to go back to and spell out?

That's still part of the problem. If I have a screen shot . I leave this page to look at the spelling . Come back here to try and write it . I have forgotten it.

You might need to accept its something you can't do and break the word down into 3 letters. Remember 3, go to other tab and type them in, go back and remember the next three and repeat. Or get some string, sellotape and get that pen permanently tied to a notepad.

Or... start taking omega-3 tablets. I think it's those that are supposed to boost concentration and recommended for schoolchildren.

EDIT - however I do get the need to just wanting to vent sometimes so vent away
