Liquid restrictions and medications?

For flying. I never check in a bag and have become very good at travelling light. Even so, I still find it challenging to fit all my toiletries and cosmetics in to the small clear bag. Now I'm on HRT gel, and whilst the bottle is within the 100ml size limit, there's no way it's going in the bag. Is there a different arrangement for medications?

Yes. No restrictions unless the medication is on a restricted list (eg narcotics), and you take only what is reasonably necessary for the length of your stay. No problems with HRT. But always take your prescription with you, as well as the outer packaging with the dispensing label. I either show the bottle or tube to the security staff, or just leave it loose in the tray.
