The last few years we have holidayed at a park in Wales. The Park was taken over by a family firm a few years ago and we think they have done marvels with the place. we have stayed in the parks own caravans and could not fault it but now we stop in a private chalet which is better for us with our disabled dog etc. to us the park is full of everything you need, clean not noisy but plenty of entertainment private safe access to the beach, great facilities so when I saw on Tripadvisor people had left reviews I decided to have a look at them.
I could not believe the rubbish some had left!
'did not like the accommodation looked at it within ten minutes left for home'
seriously? did they not go to reception or telephone the owners?
'have to give a low mark as there was no coffee table in the bedroom for my morning cup of tea'
never seen a coffee table in the bedroom surely that is what a bedside table is for?
park roadways have too many speed restriction bumps'
rather have them than be run over by speeding people

what is the most batshit crazy things you have read on trip advisor?

I manage an Airbnb home. We got a rubbish review for the knobs on the back of the bedroom door preventing the door closing properly ..
It was one do those hang over the door ones that lifts off.

My family found a cheap long weekend break on a holiday park recently. We checked Tripadvisor etc and some of the reviews were so petty! One complained that there were too many ducks!!! It was a park with a fishing lake lol.

Lots where people seem to be walking round with white gloves checking for dirt. And one where they gave the place a terrible review because it was winter time and everything in the local area had closed down - hardly the hotels fault.

this is the trouble people leaving reviews that are so petty. they don't take into account wear and tear, budget etc, a case of champagne lifestyle on brown ale budgets!

I presume these were errors but reviews about impossible things Iike the pool was cold, except there was no pool in the first pace
