I would like to nominate a grandmamma who was on my bus this morning . . .

This lady, wearing a beautiful, pure white linen dress (wondered what that would look like at the end of the day?) was caring for her very small grandchild, aged 9 - 10 months, because Mummy has a VERY Important Job and is Helping to Look After People today

We were then told that she doesn't do 'babyspeak' as DGC is VERY intelligent and understands a lot more than you would think

After a complicated explanation of where rain comes from (suspect that grandmamma is a retired meteorologist) we were treated to several verses of 'The wheels on the bus' and 'Old MacDonald had a farm' delivered in a high-pitched soprano voice

I'm afraid we got to my destination whilst we were being told that DGC's soft toy is identical to one that Prince George had as a baby so I can't provide any more evidence for my nomination . . . .

Ok? If she was singing loudly I guess that was annoying but I don’t know why the rest of it bothered you. Plenty of people talk properly to their babies.

She was sat at the front of the bus, in the seats reserved for pushchairs, but was addressing everyone on the bus as if no-one had ever (a) taken their DGC on a bus before and (b) cared for their DGC for a day

Sorry, it was my attempt to brighten a gloomy summer Sunday by being humerous but I have obviously sadly failed . . . . 🙄

Sounds annoying OP. I can't stand attention-seeking people like that.
