Phones and other aids to help person with poor vision

Can anyone recommend a phone that my mum will be able to operate? She's got macular degeneration so very poor vision. She can't see the buttons on a normal phone or mobile.

She's also very deaf and her current hearing aids are worse than useless.
Can anyone recommend good hearing aids that don't need to be cleaned of wax every day?

Sorry, can't locate the Caring for Parents topic.

RNIB are a great resource for visual impairment and they have a shop with accessible products that will hopefully help.

Also can you contact your local council and ask for an assessment from the Rehabilitation officer for deaf/ blind people? My daughter does this for our council but be aware they have long waiting lists, at our council at least.
