Hi all. I have read some reports on the internet that says that Simon Cowell’s son Eric was born with Down Syndrome? I have seen his photos as he does not seem to have the same facial features as a person that has Down syndrome? So I am bit confused. Are there different types?

Well if it's on the internet then it must be correct.

I don't think Simon Cowell has released anything about his son. I've seen rumours but never anything official or on a reputable website.

Does it really matter, he seems as though he is very much loved, he's never going to go without anything, Simon has more than enough money.

He clearly hasn't got Downs syndrome. Stop clicking on dodgy sites.

I'm have a son with Downs but you'd not know to look at him. I had to tell a doctor once that he had it!

Why do you need/want to know?

I imagine fir the same reasons posters have endless threads on the RF and Harry/William or Kate, want to know everything about Taylor Swift ,a test boyfriend etc…..

Famous person’s child’s health really none of our business.

I don't know whether he has it or not and I don't know why you would think it is your business.

On the factual side there is a type of downs syndrome called mosaic downs syndrome where some of the genes are affected by the extra chromosome but not others so the impact is less predictable at birth and only becomes more apparent later.

Why does it matter ?
I think his absolute adoration of his son just radiates out of him, and that’s all that matters. I really like Simon Cowell, and he seems to have really mellowed since his son came along.

Why do you think you have the right to know if a 10 year old child whom you've never met, has Down's Syndrome?

Because of his dad's job? Is that why?

I find it unnecessarily intrusive and the fact it happens to other people makes it worse not better.

They could have mosaic down syndrome, people with this form of down syndrome are less likely to have associated facial features.

Doesn't have down syndrome autism or anything other medical condition nor is he trans it's all click bait x
