We are going on holiday soon and so don't want to mess up the tidy clean kitchen- any ideas for what to do for dinner? We had a picnic today already so children don't want sandwiches / hams / cheese again ... any inspiration welcomed!

Any pubs that do decent food in walking distance?

I agree with pp, take away , cooked chicken and bagged salad, go to a pub , If money wont stretch that far do 'on toast ' beans , egg , cheeses , mushrooms etc , I know this uses the kitchen but it shouldnt make much mess
