Large, padded tote. DD says its horrible. She's put me off it.

It’s the sort of thing I’d buy, thinking oh this looks cool. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I’m sick of it, and WTF was I thinking?!

I like the style, perfect for a 'throw everything in' day out or beach bag. I wouldn't buy that colour but I think it could look good against a dark outfit. If you like it, use it.

Issue for me is it's a summer colour but quilted. So not good for either season

It wouldn't be for me, I don't think I've ever owned anything in that cerise/bright pink colour. If you do though it's a fairly standard tote bag. It's not offensive in anyway.

My mother did. Almost identical stitching pattern, too.

It was her bedspread - I think she bought it sometime around 1967 from Woolworths. or from her Great universal catalogue.

Looks like a beach bag, or a bag you carry shopping in rather than having a carrier bag. Not a main handbag.

I too was swayed a number of years ago by a quilted tote bag by Marc Jacobs in a royal blue colour.

My sister upon seeing it declared it to be a monstrosity and I had to agree.

It got relegated to being a crochet project bag.

I love the colour, I wear a lot of navy as well so would buy it for the same reasons as you op.
I would prefer it without the stitching though.
I don't care what anyone else thinks.

I love pink, but not that pink. Personally, I think it looks rather low quality. BUT, if you like it you should definitely definitely use it. I have bags I'm sure 95% of the population wouldn't like and I don't care.
