What do NMs think of the Andrew Malkinson case and the fact he has not yet received any compensation?

It's obviously a miscarriage of justice. They wanted to take money from his compensation to pay for his jail time. It's terrible he hasn't received his money.

It's absolutely appalling. It is also appalling that the head of the service that refused to refer his case twice has not been sacked. I just wonder how many more cases like his are lurking.

It is a disgrace.

I see that woman Helen Pitcher tried to take credit for the work done by his own legal team, ghastly.

See him on TV, and he looks so calm and measured! But 17 years, Jeez, you can't imagine; he must be seething. You'd think the govt would rush to do right by him.

I watched the TV show of his story last week and was horrified that he has had no compensation. The poor man struggle daily because of how long he was locked up for. It is a massive miscarriage of justice, and he is still having to fight.

No, but he is living straitened circumstances right now so he needs the money.

Also, the number of post masters still not compensated is utterly appalling.

Sam Hallam and Victor Nealon have been denied any compensation at all. What kind of country are we if we wrongly send people to prison then don't compensate them? I can't get my head round it.
