Hi All, I need to replace my stairs and landing carpet. The trouble is that I have cats who at times love to get their claws into the carpet!!
can anyone recommend a type
of carpet that is good for
people
with cats please? Thanks in advance

No carpet is really cat proof. A lot of people find cat scratching mats enough to deter them. They will still scratch outside closed doors in order to be let in or out.

Personally it doesn't bother me if there's scratched areas and I just trim any loose ends off. The house is clean, but lived in and my whole part of my life involves cats, so some damage will happen. A wooden floor and rugs - even scratched ones - can look a bit nicer. Bonus points if they're Persian rugs 😃

I used to sell carpet. And have cats. Avoid anything with loops. A twistpile is pretty forgiving.
