Kind Unlimited Subscription-Can you Use on Holiday?

Please can anyone who has a Kindle Unlimited subscription and has used it abroad answer a question for me? Googling has not provided a clear answer! I know you can use it abroad but not sure if you can only access books you have downloaded before you go or if you can still access the library and download new books while you are away?

I thought it was an obvious question but none of the answers I find online quite answer that question. TIA

Common sense would tell you that you can.

Pretty sure I downloaded while away.

I don't have unlimited but I always download before I go. Also found out on this holiday BBC iPlayer doesn't work abroad so I didn't get to see Call the Midwife as planned.

Would it? I think it’s entirely possible not being in the same country may prevent you from accessing content from your home country’s library if you haven’t already downloaded to your device, but I’m not certain - hence asking if anyone has been able to do so.

I think you will be able to access books that are available where you are.

I bought stuff when in the USA on my uk prime (delivered to USA)

I'm sure I used mine when I was abroad. Downloaded from the UK store as usual.

I read loads, really quickly, so I would have been stuffed if I couldn't!

Yes, my DD uses mine on holiday as she reads a lot. She always adds in more books while we're away

That’s exactly my concern too as I get through books really quickly. Thanks!

I struggled to find anything good on a trial of Unlimited. The name is a con. It's not cheap and I found it better to just use my money to buy books I did want. Also Bookbub is good for trying out new authors.

I’m buying a kindle and it comes with free unlimited for 3 months. I prefer actual books but struggle when we are away to bring enough with me, so thought it might be okay just for holidays. I’ll unsubscribe after the 3 months and just subscribe again whenever we are away I think. Might buy the odd book too.

Yes I have ...although I tend to download around 10 before I go

Never had a problem abroad - as long as you have wifi you can download
