Will the dentist remove me from his practice?

Had a check up at new dentist last week.
He only works 1 day a week on a Thursday and he said I need 2 fillings/scrape and polish.
His next available is 5 weeks for fillings.
Two days ago one of the teeth that needs filling started aching (when he was prodding it it was tingling so bad and not right since )

I rang dentist and they said nothing sooner but can prescribe antibiotics??
I found another dentist who can do the fillings next Wednesday
If I do this will my dentist remove me from practice ?
Il still go to appointment for scale and polish just filling already done

I don't know what to do

No idea but if I were you I’d phone and ask them.
just say I don’t want to leave, I’m going to keep my upcoming hygienist appointment and will book future dental work with you but I need this current filling resolved asap. If they say no, you can’t do that and we will remove you from our books… well then at least you know and to be honest I don’t think I’d want to stay with them if they behave in that way….?

Just ask

No they won't. You needed help, think of it like having an emergency appointment. But maybe this new dentist might be a better fit for you

I would just get it done and explain that you were in pain and couldn't wait. If they weren't understanding about it, I'd move on myself.

Yeah I'm going to just go and get it done
Go to the next appointment and explain face to face
The tingling is pretty constant with sharp pains and I'm going on holiday in two weeks so really don't need pain
