In our dreams? Like random strangers that pop up, where does our brain get them from? Are their faces just created ?

I think we all dream differently. In my dreams I know who everyone is. No randoms!

I dream about people I know, but they are usually in unfamiliar situations.
For example I might be in my parents house, but a work colleague might be there with someone else’s dog.

I don't have randoms in my dreams often. More like what pp says, people I know in weird situations! But every now and then a new face pops up and I was wondering how our brain creates these!
