I don’t know where to start or, on what platform. I have no idea what I want to listen to but would start with podcasts and may be an audio book. What would you suggest?

Id go with Spotify and try and narrow it down. by which sort of genre you like.

Pocket casts
Apple Podcasts.

So many - depends what you like? I listen to tonnes.

Audible for audio books or if your local library has Libby you can borrow them

If you're a member of a library, they may have an online offering such as Borrowbox which has plenty of audiobooks that you can borrow.

My kids use PodBean to listen to podcasts, and I use Pocket Casts but there are loads of different apps. You can search for anything you're interested in, by person or subject matter.

BBC Sounds has a good range of podcasts. Comedy, true crime, food, money, etc.

The app is embarrassingly dreadful though. I use Antenna Pod, not sure why. I tried a few years ago and liked that one best and stuck with it.
