What could this be?

Dc1 complained of a sore hand yesterday, today its both hands. There are red patches, a bit like you'd get after climbing/monkey bars/lots of cycling. A bit swollen, sore.

Possibly some sort of allergic reaction. DD had similar from finger painting once. We had to tell the nursery to stop her from using them.

Looks like bruising to me
