Which minor British comedy actress am I thinking of?

She was in a sitcom from the 80s or 90s, played the minor role of someone like the main characters' annoying neighbour or friend/acquaintance I think.

Possibly Brummie, blonde to light brown medium length hair. Very smiley face and upbeat in character.

In my head I'm in Brush Strokes/Ever Decreasing Circles/Sorry!/Fresh Fields territory.

I've checked the casts of loads of others but can't find her but the picture in my mind is so clear.

I'm getting named like Daphne/Joy/Angela/Pippa in my head.

Not brummie but Penelope Keith as Margot in the good life is what sprang to mind.

Avaline in Bread was my first thought, or Frank Spencers wife in ‘Some mothers do ‘ave them’.
