Significant events each year

I’m making a photo album for my son for his 21st birthday of photos of him each year. I’d like to have some facts for each page, any ideas what I could put, like prime minister, price of milk,No 1 single etc

When I did a similar thing for my son, I wrote a memory I had of him for each year of his life and he absolutely loved it.

First word, something funny he did at a school play, what cartoons he loved etc.

I would definitely go for a more personal touch.
