Do you think these tests are covid positive?

I've got minor symptoms of sore throat, headache, tiredness, feel sick, and am feeling hot - all symptoms of covid for me. Worked in very close contact with someone who was positive on Sunday and 40% off ill with covid/colds on Saturday.

Test line not there indicates a negative(s) but tests out of date.

Do you think these tests are covid positive?

These are, in theory, negative tests - the C line is the control line, and shows that the test is valid. If you get a second line alongside the T, that’s a positive test.

But given the tests are out of date, I don’t think they tell you anything one way or the other. Especially given how many times covid has mutated since we were all sent these free ones in the post. Can you get some new tests quickly, via a supermarket delivery or Amazon, if it’s important to know whether what you have is Covid?

No they’re negative. But I didn’t test positive for about 4 days when I had it recently

They look negative to me but might not be reliable if out of date.

I used out of date tests a couple of weeks ago. But I only used them on the 3rd day of my fever.

I got very clear positives, so did a controlled sample 😂 with dh and ds and they were both negative. I then tested every couple of days (in the spirit of science) and continued showing a clear positive for about 5-6 days after the temperature abated, then it disappeared. There were no faint lines, it was either a clear solid line or nothing.

Very very negative.

Grmumpy · 17/07/2024 13:25

We both just had Covid and the out of date tests gave clear positive results. However, day one husband positive me negative, day 2 both positive

MrsClownland · 17/07/2024 13:25

We have out of date tests, both tested recently - one was a very strong positive very quickly, other negative. I don't know how many months "leeway" there is before they stop working entirely, but the tests you've posted definitely look negative

Does it matter? If you feel fine, just carry on as normal.
If you feel a bit rough, have a day off. It's very simple.
There is absolutely no need to waste your time and money on tests.
