Toddler activities

Hi all,

My LO is 19months old and he is hyper active, doesn't want to sit and play. Not interested in toys at all, he would just throw stuff away, running around, emptying up the drawers and clinging to mommy.
What are the activities I could try to keep him entertained or at least to have him sit and play for some time while I finish my chores.

I've tried to give him colour pencils or crayons to scribble, cars or what not but he would just throw away all the stuff, can't try any water activities either as he would spill all of that.

Is this a normal behaviour for this age to not play with toys or sit around?

I can't take him outside everyday since we are on top floor with no elevator so it's quite a hassle.

Would really appreciate the suggestions on how to keep my LO entertained

My 21mo is like this. Does. Not. Stop. Don't know if your little one would be the same but mine only ever sits still for building blocks and sometimes those activity tables with the wires that they push the wooden beads along, sorry can't remember what they're called for some reason 😅 though to be honest he mostly just runs around pushing cars along or rolling stuff. Just try and run him ragged outside so he burns the energy off, it's usually the only way to end up with a still toddler in my house🤣
