Has anyone done this? What equipment did you get?

Obviously we will wear headphones but I have a blank wall and I think I'd be nice to sit out and watch a movie in the evenings on some nights, invite my nephews round too.

The main thing I’d consider is what time it gets dark. If you’re talking young children, primary age or younger, I’d imagine it would be a stretch for it to be dark enough to start a film before 9:30pm during the summer, which may be too late (and maybe too chilly!) for younger ones.

Yeah obviously for summer it's not really going to work alot of outdoor cinemas are around October so I can have s fireput or heat lamps out, blankets and dressed warm. Lots of people do lots of outdoor activities like camping etc.

My nephews won't be round all the time but as a one off it's be nice to do something like that. It's more for me and my friends haha

Sitting still watching a movie sounds damp and cold in October tbh

We have one! We don't wear headphones but our neighbors are not that close so it's ok. Projector and pull out screen both from Amazon. Speaker on a deal from the local music store. We are also lucky enough to have a pool (and live where it gets darker earlier in the summer than the UK) and I LOVE hosting movie nights in the pool. Firepits and smores for when everyone gets out. They really are a great way to spend an evening!

Ah thanks I usually go to open air cinemas in London I love them.

your setup aounds lush can i move in hahaha.

Thanks for the set up info I'll check out amazon. Unfortunately I'm in a terrace hence the headphones but I'm not overlooked so I can get away with having something on a screen without the brightness annoying anyone, might invite neighbours over too if they are up for it

I'm guessing your screen is ona stand you can put anywhere which means I don't need a wall really
