0-1 days or 1-2 days child maintenance?

(Looked for a CM board but there isn't one so wasn't sure where to post)

Basically as background, child maintenance is dependent on the number of days the non-resident parent has their child per week. Relevant choices here are either 0-1 or 1-2. He has our children one overnight per week - school pick up (3.30pm) to drop off the next day (9am).

I would say this isn't a full day so it counts as 0-1 but he thinks 1-2 - any advice would be helpful!

It’s the number of nights. So it’s one.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 16/07/2024 19:50

I thought it was the number of nights?

CrystalSoup · 16/07/2024 19:51

It's one night
But does it go in the [0 to 1] or the [1 to 2] bucket

Are you in England? If so it's based on overnights.

0-1 days or 1-2 days child maintenance?

So if it's 1 every week, it's 1-2

If it's not every week it's 0-1

Does he ever have them for an extra night? Making more than 52 per year ?

Does he ever have them less?

SargeantSaltandPepper · 16/07/2024 19:52

Ah ok thanks everyone! He had mentioned '1-2 days per week' and I haven't looked at the form in ages.

Do they ever miss a week? That would make it less than 52 weeks a year so 0-1. Likewise, if they sometimes do extra it would be 1-2.

That’s how I always worked it, anyway.

Do the calculation for both- I've got a feeling when I did it it wasn't actually affected by 0-1 or 1-2... then over 2 it changed.
