Spain Holiday Shopping

Is there anything that's easy to source that i should get my hands on whilst out in Spain? Ive seen threads where people mention where they are travelling and people advise that the beauty products / baby products / toiletries are great and a must buy.

Ive seen that Tretinoin is a top buy for people visiting. I also want to get some of the lemon baby cologne, maybe some washing detergent.

Any other recommendations?

I want a new fluffy white bathrobe but am visiting Turkey in august which is where i normally buy them, but my case is far lighter for spain so if anyone knows if the spanish towelling robes are any good / easy to come by?

I live in Spain and I wasn't aware there was anything special about our washing detergent??

Beauty products here aren't particularly cheap and I can't think of any that are better than what you get in England either. Definitely bring sun cream with you as that's more expensive here.

With regards to Tret, if I were you I'd go for A313 Vitamin A retinol cream which I believe you can buy on Amazon UK. You can only buy it here via German Amazon and it's €14 so a bargain.

Zara Home is my go to for towels, sheets etc (in fact pretty much my entire house - they're fantastic value for almost everything).

If it is of interest to you, Melatonin can be bought over the counter in pharmacies, and in supermarkets (Supercor anyway), it's only on prescription here.

Other than that, I don't buy much, but love going into pharmacies and the beauty aisle in supermarkets and pick up things that are a bit different. The mosquito repellant in Mercadona is great and works like Avon skin so soft, the Spanish buy it in bucketloads, it is ok for children too. Agua de Colonia Fresca. Smells lush too.

It's the supermarket food for me.....paprika, fuet (salami sausage), turron (nougat), membrillo, all the delicious tomatoes.....DS's GF is Spanish so there's a ready supply!

Mercadona is great for perfumes and general cosmetics.

@CointreauVersial food goes without saying 😅 my son is obsessed with foreign biscuits and chocolate! Our evenings after dinner is supermarket shopping for new buys and the last day he likes to panic and stock buy as he wont get them again for a while!
