Just wanted to know. My daughter got DLA Care only higher rate awarded on 3rd January 2024. I informed UC on 3rd of May on change of circumstances. So in June I got paid disabled child only but not the Care element. I left a message under payment requesting they pay me both elements I also left the message saying that Citizens Advice advised me that I should get both Elements backed to the day DLA was awarded. Today I received a message on my journal as below
June statement has been corrected and carer element has been adder
May statement has been corrected and only Carer Element has been added
and that’s it. My question are they suppose to backdate both Disabled child and Carer Element to the date DLA was awarded? How do I ask them to do so? Thank you in advance
