our first accident, I feel so awful we was getting ready for bed in my bedroom whilst I was getting into pjs and he’s ran in the en suite and I didn’t realise was still wet from my shower and he’s slipped and knocked one side of his face.

He cried for a few minutes but straight away his cheek was swollen and blue, an hour later the cheek is still swollen but he seems ok in himself. Had some weetabix and went to sleep fine. But should I be worried it could be broken or would he be in a lot more pain? I feel so bad 😞

thank you

Aww bless him (and you!). Such a fright but I'm sure he will be absolutely fine given he settled pretty soon after and has been his normal self since. My 18 month old unfortunately thinks he is some kind of stunt man and I've lost count of the amount of bruises and bumps he's usually covered in from similar accidents or leaping off things 🙃 I totally get the mum guilt though. Big hugs and I'm sure it'll be fine and it's your shock that's worse than the injury I bet x

@fancyfrogs thank you so much for your comment that has made me feel a lot lot better. I know exactly what you mean , my DS has started climbing everywhere, thinking he can jump off the sofa and wherever else he can climb up! So scary 😧 thanks again much appreciated x
