Travel for work- how much is too much?

Started a new job a couple of months ago. In the interview they said 70% wfh 30% work either from office or client site, which means a train and hotel.
So in the next 10 weeks that would be 3 weeks travel by my calculations or about 1 week a month? I was also told this was rare and mainly wfh.
I have to travel next week for a week then wfh for 1 week then 4 weeks away m-f. Different weekly locations . Then wfh then away again for 2 weeks. So 6 weeks out of 9 I'm away.
This is too much isn't it?
Dds aren't happy, dh doesn't really mind .
How much travel would you is acceptable to you?

Can you get a feel for whether it'll be like this long term, or is it just the initial settling in/getting to know the job type travel?

It would be too much for me, and our childcare routine at home. I never travel for work unless it's to a conference. DH occasionally has to work away but for specific tasks and not longer than a week. It can impact my part time working well as I have to be at home for the kids. It would be a big fat nope if we had to do it long term.

I don't think anyone can answer what is too much - pre children I had one year where I worked away 290 nights (that was too much), but travelled a lot after. And it wasn't smooth through the year either, this time of year from May 1st to end of July, then September to mid November was always much more in demand
