Eufy robot - worth it?

I've been so tempted by a eufy robot vacuum but are they worth the hype? Does anyone have the robovax X8?

I couldn't tell you which model I have, but lifechanging!!

OfDragonsDeep · 15/07/2024 16:05

Yeah I have one, it’s brilliant. Love it!

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/07/2024 16:06

Likewise, we’ve had ours a few years and I don’t know what eufy model but she’s bloody fantastic. I was very grumpy when DH got it but I can’t remember why and she’s the hardest working appliance in the house. Do it. You’ll be so happy.

If you have a place where Eufy can live out permanently then, yes, worth it.
I mean where you can keep the charging point plugged in all the time and the robovac docked, so all you need to do is flick the socket switch and set the vac off when you want to.

Mine lives in a drawer so I have to get the whole shebang out whenever I want to set robovac off. And I can rarely be arsed - it seems easier to just grab the actual hoover and do a quick skim.

I'm not sure what model I have.

AlisonWonderbra · 15/07/2024 16:08

I don't know which model I have but I bought it second hand. We have had it about two years and it's an absolute game changer!

Teepeetot · 15/07/2024 16:11

Ooh OK I'm liking the sound so far! Do yours mop too?

OP posts:
Teepeetot · 15/07/2024 16:12

The x8 seems to be one of the cheaper ones but has mapping and mops too, I just don't want to buy a rubbish one when they are all quite expensive

Wait to prime day before buying, it’s this week

That's exactly why I'm asking haha

I've got two and don't use them now. The novelty wears off. I would invest in a decent hoover

Mercurial123 · 15/07/2024 16:15

I have an Eufy, it's OK . However, my old L'enfant was so much better.

I have a disability which makes using the hoover difficult/painful so it doesn't get done as much as I'd choose

I've had a few Eufys and other makes. They don't last more than a couple of years and are a great addition to normal vacuuming but not a full alternative.
It depends what your house is like but you have to prepare the room before setting it off, they get stuck and are very needy of attention.

Will you be ok maintaining the Eufy in that case? It needs to be emptied out regularly and cleaned.

Why was it better? I've just googled and they seem cheaper so I'm intrigued

I have an X8. It's fine, but we had to replace the battery after less than two years, which cost £60. With hindsight I'd have gone for a more powerful brand I think, Roomba or Roborock.

Yes, it's the physically hoovering that does it. Either way, both have to be emptied and with this I don't have to be wrestling the hoover round first haha

We just got the vacuum and mop version I personally think we didn't need it but we have a newborn and my DH loves it and it does do a very good job. It's handy but an extravagance IMO

How much was it?

@Teepeetot I'm in Ireland and my DH found it online reduced I think about €600

Thank you....the x8 is reduced to 229 at the moment so I'm considering it!

There's a Lefant reduced to 99 but I'm guessing that'd be rubbish?

nmhermione · 16/07/2024 11:02

I'm looking at the Laresar or Honiture ones myself, alongside Eufy and Lefant. Can't make a decision! I'd like them to last at least a few years.

Aposterhasnoname · 16/07/2024 11:06

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Robot vacuums are life changing. I had a basic Lefant one that just bumbled about and that was awesome, but now I’ve upgraded to an eufy with mapping and honestly I can’t recommend it enough. No idea what model it is, but I highly recommend getting one with mapping.

Scissorsisters · 16/07/2024 11:15

I have a eufy, one of the cheap ones from a prime day past.

Best thing is that it gets right under the beds.
Worst bit is it sometimes gets stuck under the sofas or edge of a rug and sends out help signals.

You do need to clean the filters and brushes regularly but the amount of dust it picks up will make you Blush

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 16/07/2024 11:20

Absolutely yes!

I have the G30 model I think which is self emptying - the docking station has a normal bag in it and when it docks to charge it socks everything out-of Eufy into the bag.

I genuinely nearly cry tears of joy when I get home from work and Eufy has been round and picked up all the breakfast crumbs and left lovely vacuuming lines on the carpets
