I am having a bit of trouble with constant need to wee / feel like I need to wee at the moment. Samples aren’t showing any infection although another one has been sent to the lab today.

I am thinking of trying D Mannose. Is it good? Do I take it daily as a probiotic?

I've suffered with recurrent UTIs for my entire life.

I take d-mannose now and have seen a decrease in flare ups. I still have one or two a year but far fewer than prior to taking d-mannose.

I rave on about this all the time! I swear it’s like a miracle cure. For me anyhow!
I just take it when I have a flare up and in all honesty that’s so rare now I’m convinced it’s down to the powder.

Yes it's brilliant, completely stops anything brewing and in fact has kept me UTI free for years after Consultant Urologist recommended it.

I’ve got the same symptoms as you, constantly feeling I need to wee, despite just going. Has the D-Mannose worked for you?

Roselilly36 · 23/07/2024 07:44

D-mannose has been fantastic for me, still have urgency but that is due to something separate. But not constant UTI, my specialist nurse recommended it to me. The urologist said it’s great when it works, I think it only works on E. coli type infection, I take two capsules every night with my other medications.

My daughter (12) takes this daily after recommendation from her urologist. She has other treatment alongside it but I feel it’s stopped uti flare ups.

D Mannose quite honestly transformed my life! I get UTIs after sex and had them chronically. Haven't had one in 10 years as I just take a couple of tablets for a couple of days after. Life changing

Hi, I know this is an oldish thread but hopefully dormant rather than dead. What brand and strength do people here use? I have just had some D-Mannose delivered from Superdrug i.e. own brand as it had good reviews and I expected (didn't really think!) a packet of 30 capsules would last a month but the dose is 4 capsules daily! That's quite expensive at £6.99 per box. It says these are 500 mg per capsule. Thanks!

D Mannose 50g powder (the brand is called Your Supplement) from Amazon. 50 servings (I take one serving a day and this has kept my UTIs under control) for £12.99.

I tried Bladdapure but the capsules were 4 a day (8 if you had UTI symptoms) and I couldn’t get on with them at all. They were pricey too.
