Drinking more water

I don’t drink hardly any water but when I do I genuinely need the loo every 5 mins.

I drunk probably about 750ml today in about 10-15 mins, and have been to the toilet 5 times in the last hour. Is this normal when you start drinking more?

I think it’s pretty normal! Might also be worth trying some electrolytes (not all through the day but maybe in your first drink of the day). They help to keep you more hydrated and help your body to ‘absorb’ more, so they do stop you needing a wee quite as much.

Thanks @Work2live. Maybe I should give them a go. It’s just I know I am dehydrated so I don’t know why the water is coming out so fast when I thought my body should be absorbing it!!

My sons dietitian said when you increase water intake it takes a couple of days to get used to it. She said to persevere through the couple of days of excess wee then the body will adapt and you won't need to go as much.
