Opinions on living around Newark-on-Trent/Lincolnshire/Anywhere south of Leeds to the South Coast

I'm looking for a property for me and my 2 elderly parents. It can be anywhere Leeds downwards, but it must be safe, no anti-social behaviour, drug use outside the front door etc. We need 3 beds, garden, garage, we can drive but it would be useful if shops and transport links were within a 20-30 minute drive as well as job opportunities (Admin. I currently drive 45mins for work which I don't mind) Our budget £250k max is quite low so this impacts areas greatly.

The biggest 'must', is it must be safe. Mum and Dad are so worried about antisocial behaviour and not being able to leave the house. They drive and like walks and countryside and garden centres.

Any suggestions please? Thank you

I don't know what kind of Wild West you think it is up here, but you'll have plenty of choice of perfectly decent areas for a property like that within budget.

Thousands and thousands of properties within the (absolutely massive) area you describe will fit the brief.

By coincidence, this property is in a quiet neighbourhood on the same road as someone I know.

Very regular bus service past the door, low crime, easy reach of nearby cities, few minutes drive from a 'destination' garden centre, loads of city parks and even real wilderness within 30-60 mins drive.

@Bjorkdidit Sorry if my post came across like that, my parents are just older and worried after reading posts in online chat groups - every time they find a house, someone says it's not a good area. That house is lovely thank you.
