It's normal to be sick of work by age 40!?

Judging by most of my friends / colleagues, everyone my age seems to be sick of work! Some women say they got their mojo back in their 50s. Some say they didn't! It's a long slog through to retirement... Or am I just mixing with a bunch of miseries and need to pull my socks up?!

I am feeling so meh, don't know if it's peri. I should be grateful to have a good and flexible hybrid job, nice colleagues, boss with your back (usual corporate politics and inefficiencies but nothing like some companies I've worked at before)

Pre teen kids doing fine (usual stresses/worries but nothing tumultuous). I've changed careers in 30s. Worked full time for 20 years taking only 9 months off in total for the kids. I take care of myself, force myself to gym, play music, meet other mums, support my kids at sports.

But i'm soooooo unmotivated with work since it takes up a huge chunk of time (maybe it is not work, just existing). Pace is slow. I think my colleagues are unmotivated too but we are all hiding it. I don't really care for titles but paid well. I do feel changing jobs will give me a push but based on past experience im so afraid of ending up in an awful toxic place.
