Woke up one morning a few days ago to this. Any idea what it could be causing this?

A mole has come to live under your lawn!

I would feel blessed. Cute little creatures

We wondered this but father in law said he didn’t think the soil wasn’t fine enough to be a mole.

Possibly badger. Unless it's a very small wild boar perhaps...🐗

If the soil is being pushed up from underneath there is very little else it could be living under there.

Thank you. I just checked with dh and he says that it looked like the soil is pushed from below to him.

@buttercup877 yes we did, and our neighbours had similar, we had a large garden with a wooded area and there was a clear run where they had pushed fencing aside in several gardens. Another neighbour who had lived there since the 1960’s had always been aware of them. You might find the same if you chat to neighbours.

Thank you. There is a gap at the bottom of the fence near there so I will ask the neighbour. On the other side we are next to a field.
