What could occasional stiff fingers and toes/feet mean?

I'm 50 and for the last few months, I've noticed stiffness and/or slight soreness in these areas. It comes and goes. Any ideas?

Arthritis.

Yep. A combination of age and osteoarthritis.

HRT helps mine a lot.
