Recent child passport renewal timescales ?

Hi I am just in the process of renewing one of my DC passports in the hope of an August holiday - can anyone share how long theirs took if you have done the same recently ?

Less than two weeks. You get the chance to upload a photo online and check how well it meets their criteria, which helps avoid delay. Then you post the old passport away and the application processing takes a few more days after the old passport is received.

I did all of ours last month. Mine and DH's took a week and the kids took 2 weeks. These were all online renewals and I got the photos done at a shop so I knew they were OK.

Did it last month- it was 2 weeks.

Did mine and DHs recently. Renewed online and sent the old ones by special delivery so they’d arrive the next day. Had the new ones in a week.

Fast

I applied on 1st july, it was approved on 12th and is in the post coming back now.
If you apply now and its mid/end of aug you should be fine.

Very quick - less than 2 weeks in total.

About 10 days

12 days, sent off for 1st passport for baby, renewal for child and a renewal for adult all on the same day. They all arrived in separate envelopes 12 days later.

Did ours this week, application on Tuesday online and got confirmation that they were being printed yesterday.

Passport office told me on a call
today the current turnaround time is 3 weeks.

It is underway and I got confirmation on Thursday that the expired passport had been received.
When would you feel confident to book something?

5 days, in June!

In case this helps anyone else we got it back two weeks to the day from when I submitted it.
Holiday all booked for two weeks time - phew!
