Has anyone ever had an affair?

Has anyone ever had an affair? I'm curious to know how common it actually is for females to have affairs as I always read about men doing it but very rarely women.

If you did or know someone that did what's the reason and what was the consequence? No hate or judgements.

Ha. I meant like in here. Alot of the time I read that this husband's had an affair but less commonly have I read that the wife has had an affair.

I think more men are likely to lie and pretend to be single in order to have a "bit on the side", whereas I think a woman is more likely to tell her lover the truth. I also think more men cheat than women as they are usually only looking for extra marital sex rather than a replacement wife. They think with their dicks. Women are more likely to think more carefully about it (possibly because of the effects on their children) and are more often looking for love and happiness than just nooky.

The married person is the one having an affair aren't they? Or are both people having an affair?

I know of more married/long term partner affairs due to the women’s infidelity than then mens. But, that’s because I know the that half of the couple, their male affair partners friends would probably say the opposite.

I don’t know anyone who has had an affair with a single person, so in essence, discounting those in same sex relationships, won’t it be 50/50, just depends on the half of the affair couple you know?
